Guides

  • Paige Olson - Paige Olson - Whether on the trail or back at the lodge my years of professional experience since the early 1970's in adventure recreation and working with youth and other groups will encourage play and leisure time together to build and improve relationships. I look forward to sharing stories, the comfort that comes with paddling sky blue waters, and wonderful company around campfires.

  • Nick Altringer - Every since I first set my eyes on fly fishing twelve years ago I have been hooked. I enjoy working with people from all demographics. Trout fishing in the Kinni Creek area is a very rewarding and enjoyable experience everyone should take an opportunity to enjoy.

  • Brad Bohen - I will help you realize your fly fishing adventures no matter if your are hoping to catch your first wild trout or are ready to tackle the mighty musky. I fly fish twelve months a year and specialize in custom packages for the adventurous angler as well as in teaching the skills of the sport of fly-fishing.

  • Jane Clark - I have been guiding fly fishing for a number of years. I particularly enjoy introducing and teaching fly fishing to women, and I teach the Ladies Fly Fishing School here at the lodge and outfitters shop. Be sure to check out the Fly Fishing Schools page to see what dates will work best for you and then give us a call to rsvp your spot in one of our Ladies Fly Fishing Schools!

  • Jim Kojis - Most of my guiding is on the Kinnikinnic and Rush rivers. I fish these two rivers weekly and keep in touch with water conditions and insect hatches.  All of my trips are customized to suit the skill level and interests of my clients. I guide absolute beginners, those with some experience, and expert fishermen who just want to fish.

  • Dave Lackey - From the time I was just a boy growing up on a farm in a small Wisconsin town I have always enjoyed the sport of hunting. I've hunted Elk in Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, and New Mexico; Pheasant hunted in North & South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin; Duck hunted in North Dakota & Wisconsin; And most recently Caribou hunted in the Northwest Territories of Canada.

  • John Mowery - My experience as a trout guide has made me a good listener, patient teacher and fine stream side chef. Pierce County Wisconsin is home to some of the finest spring creeks teeming with brown trout in North America. My goal is always to improve your knowledge and skill base, not to make you dependent on guides for fishing success. Of course, relaxation and fun are the ultimate outcome!

  • Justin Netzer - Fishing started for me at the tender age of 5 years old. I was born and raised in Billings, Montana. This is where my passion for fishing and fly fishing started. My dad and Grandpa brought me trout fishing just about every weekend. We primarily fished the Big Horn Mountains on the Eastern side of Northern Wyoming.

  • "Big Pike" Mike Thomas - I'll guide you in comfort from my 18" Alumacraft Tournament Pro, powered by a fast, quiet and reliable Yamaha Vmax 150HPDI outboard, my Yamaha T8 Kicker motor handles the trolling duties. If the musky bite is off, we can also chase walleye and smallmouth bass for a full St Croix mixed bag. If there's a new technique or species on the river you'd like to chase, we'll discuss it and customize a trip of your liking.

  • Kip Vieth - My passion for the outdoors is something I love to share. I have spent the last 20+ years pursuing both fin and fowl.  It can be the strike of a bass, the beauty of a river, or the flush of a Ruffed Grouse in the dazzling autumn woods. Sharing with people the gift of the outdoors is something I truly cherish. It is always my goal to pass on some of those experiences and skills to my clients.
